Who knew there was more than one town hosting outhouse races this weekend? Not me, but here they are!
Coopersville Outhouse 500 Festival Teams parade and race their uniquely decorated outhouses along Main Street in Historic Downtown Coopersville. Prizes awarded. Parade 10am, Outhouse Race 10:30am. Sample more than 2 dozen types of chili at the Rotary Chili Blast, 12-4pm, live music at the Coopersville Jaycee's Beer Tent noon-12am. Silent auction at the Coopersville Farm Museum. 13th Annual Outhouse Classic - Trenary Races begin at 2pm with four separate classes using age as the determinant. This year’s race slogan is “Push Your Luck at the 13th Ever Outhouse Classic.†Proceeds from merchandise and food vendors are donated to local community projects and programs.
