Photo of float and costumes for Detroit's Thanksgiving Parade 2009

The Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade is now just under three weeks away. You can see a Mother Goose float and about a dozen costume heads in this photo. I always find it to be kind of a macabre scene when you see only the heads of costumes sitting in a warehouse. Don't ask me why, I just do :).
The annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit has been a fixture since 1924. The theme for this year's parade is "Together We Shine." The 2009 parade steps off at 9:20 a.m. at Woodward and Mack.
For a great pictorial history of the parade you really should give "Detroit's Thanksgiving Day Parade" a look -
