See You Next Year, Winter!
Andrew Norton
As most of us know, winter is set to "officially" end on March 21 . However, the meteorological winter consists of the months of December, January, and February. This is based on when we normally receive "winter weather." That is to say, the months that we primarily see snow and ice falling. With February's last day tomorrow, we can theoretically thumb our noses at winter and look forward to spring. That doesn't mean we won't see more frigid temperatures and cold. It just means that the likelyhood of that occurring is much less likely in March. The 10-day forecast for southwest Michigan doesn't call for anything less than highs in the 40s and a possible high of 50 this Wednesday.
My question to you is this, are you ready for winter to end and spring to begin? I am, how about you?
