Watersmeet Nimrods are the Subject of Documentary
Andrew Norton
The Watersmeet Nimrods are no strangers to fame. They have been mentioned by ESPN and have even appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno." The Sundance Channel is doing a documentary to portray what life in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is like. Webster's Dictionary defines Nimrod as - a descendant of Ham represented in the Old Testament book of Genesis as a mighty hunter and a king of Shinar. Watersmeet began using the nickname Nimrods in 1904 simply because it is a great area for hunting.
